Following Jesus in a World Obsessed with Platform


There’s a reason your heart longs for more.
Not more money. Not more likes. Not more followers.
But more meaning.

We live in a world where people are chasing fame while Jesus is still calling people to follow. Not just follow Him—but walk in the footsteps of giants. People of faith who didn’t live for the spotlight, but for the Kingdom.

And here’s the wild thing: most of those giants were just ordinary people who made extraordinary decisions. Not because they had perfect lives—but because they had unshakable faith.

1. They Walked by Faith, Not for Applause

Hebrews 11 is the OG Hall of Fame, but it’s not filled with influencers or athletes—it’s full of faithful people who chose obedience over convenience.

“By faith Abel… by faith Enoch… by faith Noah… by faith Abraham…” – Hebrews 11

These weren’t flawless people. Abraham lied. Moses had a temper. Rahab had a past. But they walked forward by faith.

If you want to leave a legacy, stop chasing the trends and start chasing the truth. Stop asking, “What’s popular?” and start asking, “What’s eternal?”

2. They Carried Purpose, Not Just Passion

Passion is loud. Purpose is lasting.

Our generation has passion. Fire in the belly. Big dreams. But what separates giants is what they carried. They didn’t just have a platform—they carried a calling.

Think David. He didn’t slay Goliath to go viral. He stepped up because the name of God was being mocked. His purpose was bigger than his fear.

You may not feel like a giant, but your quiet obedience today can build a legacy tomorrow.

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalm 119:105

3. They Followed Jesus, Even When It Cost Them

Every giant eventually had to choose—comfort or calling. You will too.

Jesus never promised it would be easy. But He did promise He would walk with you.

You’re not called to be the next Moses or Mary. You’re called to be you, fully surrendered. And if you’ll stay faithful, you’ll find yourself walking the same path giants once walked—not because you’re famous, but because you’re faithful.


Final Thought:

You don’t need to leave a mark on the world to be significant in the Kingdom.
You just need to follow Jesus in the footsteps of giants—with grit, grace, and guts.

So take your next step.
Read your Bible.
Serve someone.
Pray bold prayers.
Speak the truth in love.
Forgive quickly.
Obey immediately.
And don’t stop.

The giants before you didn’t walk easy roads—
but they walked them with a faithful God.

And so can you.
